Crash Bandicoot is super hard and super fun
I really tried to resist buying this as I had the originals on PlayStation and I had a version on PS3. Then I thought fuck it this is a good enough game to justify buying it three times, then I further convinced myself that I was actually saving money because it is three games in one. Needless to say, I bought it maybe last week I think it was.
Oh my days, I do not remember Crash Bandicoot being so hard! Like the frustration this game causes is at times absolutely maddening, balanced by the sense of achievement when you manage to complete The Native Fortress after 4 game overs (I also may have used Google, its a beautiful time we live in). It's that last jump, if you've played it you will know exactly where I mean. Pain in the arse.
I have seen that other people have said that Hog wild is also a difficult level, I am not feeling that vibe to be honest, not to brag but I finished the level AND got the gem and only died a handful of times.
The Crash Bandicoot trilogy has caused some serious nostalgia; I was telling Dale that Crash Bandicoot warped always makes me think of fresh baked cookies because I remember playing it when I was younger and my mum gave me some baked goodness. So obviously, I now NEED some fresh baked cookies when I get up to warped. Or when we get up to warped as its a team effort between me and the Mr.
It has been so fun to play this again, but there have been a fair few reboots of old games over the last couple of years and I just, I want new games too! Bethesda, I'm looking at you, you can't ride the Skyrim train forever. Sorry, side bar.
Anyway, the Crash Bandicoot Trilogy is great value for money and super fun to play, win win really! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has played the series before, even if you didn't like it first time round, just give it another go.
I believe I have only one more boss before the big man N. Cortex and then I can move onto Crash Bandicoot 2 (I actually wanted to play that one first as it's my favourite but was scorned by Dale and was told that was not the way things were done)
In conclusion, buy and play Crash Bandicoot.
